To mitigate the impact of housing upgrades, Te Toi Mahana launched an $8.54 million ‘Existing Tenant Support Fund’. This package aims to assist up to 1,000 social housing tenants by managing rent increases and providing cost-of-living support, while maintaining a rent freeze for tenants aged 80 and older.
