Subsequent testing achieved criticality at 1,225 degrees Fahrenheit. During these experiments, researchers recorded a peak core temperature of 1,852 degrees Fahrenheit, which set a new temperature record for reactivity measurements at the facility. The data gathered from these tests is intended to help engineers refine analytical models and improve the prototype design. The eVinci microreactor utilizes a compact architecture featuring heat pipes, a graphite core, and TRISO fuel, designed for resilient energy production in remote or challenging environments.
