Willer Tomaz legal dispute with Blaze platform

Overview

Lawyer Willer Tomaz initiated a lawsuit in São Paulo against the online gambling platform Blaze, seeking the recovery of R$ 163 million. Tomaz alleged that he developed a gambling addiction and claimed the platform failed to implement sufficient responsible gaming measures to curb his compulsion. The court noted that Tomaz had personally requested special conditions for high-stakes gambling, such as exclusive blackjack tables and increased operating limits of up to R$ 500,000 per play. While the refund was denied, the court ordered Blaze to cease any further harassment of Tomaz.
