World War II ordnance discoveries in Germany

Overview

In Ankum, Lower Saxony, a World War II-era bomb approximately 40 centimeters long was discovered at a potato factory. The device was collected by a harvesting machine on a farm and moved through a sorting and washing facility on a conveyor belt. Following its discovery, bomb disposal units were called to the scene and successfully detonated the device, which required the temporary evacuation of nearby homes.
