World War Z video game content updates

Overview

Saber Interactive has released a series of content updates for the cooperative action shooter World War Z.

The “Waves of Lead” update introduced new gameplay elements, including the Bullpup Shotgun BSG-12, the Gas Pipe Wrench melee weapon, and several heavy weapon perks such as “Dragon Breath Shells”. This update also added extreme difficulty to the Extinction mode within The Walking Dead crossover DLC and introduced the “Valhalla Raider” cosmetic pack.

Following this, the developer announced the “Viral State” update, scheduled for release on November 12. This update includes the premium “Florida Episode” expansion, which features a new campaign across three maps inspired by Miami and Key West, along with four new survivors. Free content accompanying the update includes the heavy Microgun, Dual Kama melee weapons, and an overhauled Daily Challenges system.
