WTT Champions Montpellier 2026 table tennis tournament

Overview

The WTT Champions Montpellier 2026 table tennis tournament commenced at the Sud de France Arena in Pérols, featuring 32 players in both men’s and women’s categories and a $500,000 prize pool. Early matches included French player Thibaut Poret facing Sweden’s Truls Moregard, who maintained high intensity despite shoulder discomfort to secure a lead.

As the tournament progressed into the round of 16, several prominent French players were eliminated. World number two Félix Lebrun lost to China’s Zhou Qihao with a score of 3-1, while Alexis Lebrun exited in the first round and Simon Gauzy lost in the round of 16. Following these results, no French players remained in the competition. Observers noted that fatigue from a heavy recent competition schedule may have contributed to the early exits of the Lebrun brothers.
