On 18 July 2026 WWE announced ~~that~~ WrestleMania 43 will be ~~staged~~ in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in April 2027 and that the 2027 Royal Rumble would return to the United ~~States, mentioning possible host cities.~~ States. A week later, on 4 August 2026 WWE confirmed the 40th Royal Rumble will be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona in February 2027. The event is part of a new three‑year, seven‑event partnership between TKO Group Holdings, the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance and Legends Global that will also bring ~~UFC,~~ UFC’s NOCHE event, Zuffa Boxing and the Professional Bull Riders World Finals to the state. Governor Katie Hobbs said the deal will create lasting economic ~~opportunity for Arizona,~~ opportunity, while TKO executive Peter Dropick highlighted ~~the venue’s suitability.~~ Arizona’s suitability and Alliance CEO Jay Parry ~~noted that~~ projected hundreds of thousands of visitors ~~are expected~~ over the three years. WWE stars Nikki Bella and interim Women’s Champion Chelsea Green attended the press conference. This will be the first Royal Rumble at State Farm Stadium and the third time Arizona hosts the marquee ~~event;~~ event (previously 2013 and 2019). WWE is evaluating a future multi‑night format for the Royal Rumble, but the 2027 edition is expected to remain a single‑night event, possibly the last of its kind. The winner will earn a title shot at WrestleMania 43.
