Overview

On 18 July 2026 WWE announced WrestleMania 43 will be in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in April 2027 and that the 2027 Royal Rumble would return to the United States. A week later, on 4 August 2026 WWE confirmed the 40th Royal Rumble will be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona in February 2027. The event is part of a new three‑year, seven‑event partnership between TKO Group Holdings, the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance and Legends Global that will also bring UFC’s NOCHE event, Zuffa Boxing and the Professional Bull Riders World Finals to the state. Governor Katie Hobbs said the deal will create lasting economic opportunity, while TKO executive Peter Dropick highlighted Arizona’s suitability and Alliance CEO Jay Parry projected hundreds of thousands of visitors over the three years. WWE stars Nikki Bella and interim Women’s Champion Chelsea Green attended the press conference. This will be the first Royal Rumble at State Farm Stadium and the third time Arizona hosts the marquee event (previously 2013 and 2019). WWE is evaluating a future multi‑night format for the Royal Rumble, but the 2027 edition is expected to remain a single‑night event, possibly the last of its kind. The winner will earn a title shot at WrestleMania 43.
