Overview

The Xantolo 2026 cultural celebrations in San Luis Potosí have established a formal schedule through the ‘Xantolo se Vive en tu Ciudad’ program, running from October 16 to November 2.

Following the initial ‘Bajada de Máscaras’ ritual in Ciudad Valles, the festivities are expanding via the ‘Xantolo se Vive en el Altiplano’ initiative. The scheduled activities include events in Matehuala from October 16–17, celebrations in San Luis Potosí and surrounding municipalities from October 23–25, and a return to the Huasteca potosina region from October 30 to November 2. These events will feature traditional music, dance, gastronomy, altars, and folk art.

Parallel celebrations have also been announced in Huejutla, Hidalgo, under the theme ‘Un Legado que nos da Identidad’. Running from October 30 to November 2, the Huejutla program will include copal rituals, artisanal displays, and regional foods such as tamales and chocolate.
