Overview

Yemen is implementing various sports and youth development initiatives. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayef Saleh Al-Bakri, inspected sports infrastructure in Aden and visited the national football team’s training camp to support preparations for the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup.

Simultaneously, the country has launched the ‘Ticket to Life’ scouting program, a global initiative supported by Alwaleed Philanthropies to provide life skills to vulnerable populations in Aden, Lahj, and Abyan. Additionally, football coaching standards are being modernized through the first Asian Level (C) coaching course in Abyan province, coordinated with the Asian Football Confederation.
