Yongin Special City youth and student support initiatives

Overview

Yongin Special City has implemented various initiatives to support student and youth development. In late August 2026, the city and the Yongin Future Education Center conducted a career experience program for 100 middle and high school students. Through the ‘2026 Growing Together with the Region (SUN)’ program, students visited local companies, including Koh Young Technology, Krafton, and Davos Hospital, to observe professional environments in fields such as semiconductor inspection, software development, and medicine.

Following this, the city announced a financial support program for unemployed residents aged 18 to 39. Beginning September 1, the city will provide subsidies of up to 300,000 KRW annually to cover certification and language exam fees. This initiative, part of the Gyeonggi Youth Capacity Building Opportunity Support Project, covers over 1,000 types of examinations, including various national technical, professional, and language tests.
