Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana Nintendo Switch 2 release

Overview

NIS America and Falcom announced that the action RPG Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 on February 25, 2027. This release marks the first time the series will appear on the successor to the original Nintendo Switch.

The new version is expected to include technical and gameplay enhancements, such as support for up to 120 FPS and the introduction of GameShare, a feature allowing for cooperative play. Additionally, the title will include Spanish-language support for the first time.

While the game follows the character Adol surviving on a cursed island, developers have not yet disclosed the price for the Switch 2 version or whether an upgrade path will be provided for existing owners.
