The Zona Franca de Vigo has undertaken initiatives to expand industrial infrastructure and support technological innovation in the Galicia region. Initial developments included the inauguration of 14 modular business units at the Porto do Molle industrial park in Nigrán. Following an investment of 11.5 million euros, the 11,070 square meter complex began hosting twelve companies across high-tech sectors, including aerospace, advanced electronics, and 3D manufacturing. Building on this infrastructure, the Zona Franca partnered with the INCYDE Foundation to launch an innovation program targeting SMEs, startups, and ~~entrepreneurs. Bids are being accepted until October 26, with construction projected to begin in the first half of 2027.
