AB Vassilopoulos opens new logistics center in Elefsina

AB Vassilopoulos has inaugurated a new 35,500 square meter storage and distribution center in Elefsina. The facility features 35 loading ramps and utilizes advanced technologies such as voice picking, multistore picking, and full pallet dense storage systems to enhance supply chain efficiency.

The center is capable of handling over 24 million boxes annually and will manage approximately 6,000 SKUs across 17 non-food categories. The operation is supported by 160 employees and external partners. The company plans to expand the site by 2027 with the addition of a 1,000 square meter cross-dock cold storage area and 11 additional ramps.

During the inauguration, attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Barbara van Hellemond, the company reported a 3.5% increase in turnover for 2025, reaching 2 billion euros. This investment is part of a broader five-year strategic plan to modernize infrastructure and support the company's nationwide network, with a particular focus on Southern Greece.
