Aeon launches 1,000 yen apparel line to meet consumer saving trends

Aeon is expanding its low-cost private brand, ‘TopValu Best Price’, to address increasing consumer tendencies toward saving due to rising prices. On September 8, the retailer will launch a range of apparel priced at 1,000 yen (excluding tax), including stretch denim pants, sweatshirt shirts, and sweatpants.

The denim line features stretch functionality and a rayon blend to provide a softer, lighter feel compared to traditional denim. The product lineup includes various sizes and silhouettes for men, women, and children. Aeon aims to sell approximately ten times more denim than the same period last year through large-scale in-store displays.

These items will be available at approximately 470 Aeon and Aeon Style locations across Japan, as well as through the Aeon Style Online e-commerce platform. This move follows previous expansions into low-cost innerwear and children's products.
