Belgium cuts fuel prices, gasoline up to €0.73 cheaper than in the Netherlands

Belgium lowered its maximum fuel prices on Wednesday. The ceiling for Euro95 E10 fell 9.1 cent to €1.866 per litre and diesel B7 dropped 7.8 cent to €2.211 per litre. In the Netherlands the advisory price for Euro95 is €2.599 per litre and diesel €2.635, creating a gap of more than €0.73 per litre for gasoline and about €0.42 for diesel. A 50‑litre fill‑up could save roughly €36.6 on gasoline and €21 on diesel for drivers near the border.

The cuts follow a sharp decline in Brent crude after U.S. President Donald Trump announced the cancellation of a planned attack on Iran, easing market tension. Belgium’s price‑cap system forces stations to charge at or below the maximum, while Dutch advisory prices—especially on highways—remain higher. Temporary Dutch fuel‑tax reductions stay in force until the end of 2026.
