Moldova and Romania are advancing several regional infrastructure and modernization projects. In Moldova, the government has approved 14.5 million lei for the modernization of 14 elevators across six localities, including Chișinău and Bălți. Additionally, the city of Criuleni is undergoing significant upgrades, with investments exceeding 16 million lei for road rehabilitation, pedestrian walkways, and park modernization, alongside 6.5 million lei to connect 285 households to new water and sewage systems.

On a larger scale, Moldova has launched a tender for a feasibility study for its first highway, specifically the Ungheni–Budești section. This 125-kilometer project, estimated at 88 million lei, aims to connect with Romania’s A8 highway, eventually linking Chișinău to Odesa via the existing M5 road corridor.
