Ferrari’s first fully electric model, the Luce, was launched in May 2026 with a planned production run of fewer than 500 units for the year. Within two months the entire allocation was sold, achieving the company’s sales goal ahead of schedule. The model’s high‑performance specifications include four electric motors delivering 1,050 hp and 990 Nm of torque, 0‑100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, a top speed of 310 km/h and a 122 kWh battery.

Demand was strongest in China, where 88 of the cars were booked within 72 hours of the sales opening, and significant interest also came from technology buyers in Silicon Valley. Despite a sharp drop of about 8 % in Ferrari’s share price on the first trading day after the launch, the stock later recovered. CEO Benedetto Vigna confirmed during the quarterly earnings call that the 2026 sales target had been met, and he also noted that Ferrari is testing bio‑fuels for its internal‑combustion engines as part of a multi‑technology strategy.

Ferrari aims to sell roughly 2,500 Luce units by 2030, representing a small share of its overall output but a key step in the brand’s electrification roadmap.
