GEN Group reports EUR 160 million profit for 2025

Slovenia’s GEN Group reported a net profit of EUR 159.7 million for 2025, compared to EUR 185.8 million in 2024. The company attributed its financial performance to effective cost control, electricity generation exceeding targets, and successful power trading.

In 2025, the group produced 3,427 GWh of electricity, with 98.9% coming from low-carbon and renewable sources, including nuclear, hydro, and solar energy. Investments reached EUR 107.5 million, more than double the EUR 50 million recorded in 2024. These funds were directed toward existing assets, such as the Krško nuclear power plant, and development projects including the Krško 2 project, the acquisition of Gorenjske Elektrarne, and the acquisition of R-Energy 1.
