Ghana Premier League prepares for Matchday 3 fixtures

The Ghana Premier League enters Matchday 3 of the 2026/27 season with several key fixtures scheduled for the weekend of September 19-20. The Ghana Football Association has confirmed match officials for the upcoming games and announced televised broadcasts for select matches, including Heart of Lions versus Swedru All Blacks and Accra Hearts of Oak against Bechem United.

Defending champions Medeama SC will begin their domestic campaign with an away match against Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex. Following their elimination from the CAF Champions League by TP Mazembe, head coach Ibrahim Tanko has urged his players to refocus their efforts entirely on winning the Premier League title and the MTN FA Cup.

In another major fixture, FC Samartex 1996 will host Asante Kotoko at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena. Asante Kotoko enters the match seeking to avenge previous losses to the Timber Giants, led by striker Emmanuel Mamah, who recently transferred from Samartex to Kotoko. Other scheduled matches include Port City FC against Berekum Chelsea FC.
