Guerlain relaunches L'Heure Bleue fragrance with modern iris tincture
Guerlain has reinterpreted its L'Heure Bleue fragrance, originally created by Jacques Guerlain in 1912, for a modern audience. Under the direction of Delphine Jelk, the scent maintains its original essence while incorporating a rare iris tincture, a complex extraction process that can take several years to complete.
The fragrance features notes of iris, vanilla, and ozonic elements, designed to evoke the “blue hour”—the transitional period between day and night. To celebrate the relaunch, the brand has introduced immersive experiences, including the first Guerlain Pop Up Store in Latin America located at Miraflores Mall in Guatemala.
The updated presentation also pays homage to Art Nouveau through a bottle design inspired by the inverted heart shape originally envisioned by Georges Chevalier.
