Maui and Jersey Shore face high surf and heat advisories

Weather advisories are in effect for several coastal regions. In Maui, a high surf advisory has been issued for south-facing shores. These conditions, coinciding with monthly high tides, may impact harbor entrances, channels, and coastal infrastructure.

In the Jersey Shore region, heat advisories have been issued due to heat index values reaching up to 102 degrees. High temperatures and humidity pose risks of heat-related illnesses. Coastal conditions for the Jersey Shore include low rip current risks with waves between 1 and 3 feet and ocean temperatures ranging from 74 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
