ICEYE leads ESA consortium for EU Earth observation and wins NOAA contract

The European Space Agency (ESA) has selected an industrial consortium led by ICEYE to design the architecture for the European Union’s future Earth Observation Governmental Service (EOGS). Known as the ARISE consortium, the group includes Indra, Rheinmetall, and HISDESAT. The project aims to create a technical and operational blueprint for sovereign, space-based intelligence to support European civil-security and defense users, covering space systems, ground infrastructure, and security architecture.

Separately, ICEYE US has been awarded a position on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Space-Based Environmental Monitoring (SBEM) contract. Under the Active Sensors category, ICEYE US will provide synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery to support environmental monitoring and weather forecasting. This commercial SAR data is intended to assist federal agencies by providing visibility through cloud cover and darkness during environmental emergencies.
