ICEYE Earth observation and satellite launch developments

Overview

ICEYE has expanded its role in Earth observation and space infrastructure through new partnerships and contracts. Initially, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Arianespace to evaluate using the Ariane 6 heavy-lift launch vehicle for its synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite missions. This collaboration aims to secure autonomous access to space and support European sovereign launch capabilities.

Subsequently, ICEYE was selected by the European Space Agency (ESA) to lead the ARISE consortium, which is tasked with designing the architecture for the European Union’s future Earth Observation Governmental Service (EOGS). This project focuses on creating a blueprint for space-based intelligence to support European civil-security and defense. Additionally, ICEYE US secured a contract with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to provide SAR imagery for environmental monitoring and weather forecasting.
