Regional weather shifts impact Turkey, Cyprus, and the Netherlands

Various regions across Turkey, Northern Cyprus, and the Netherlands are experiencing significant weather shifts. In Turkey, much of the country is transitioning from recent heavy rainfall and storms toward warmer, sunnier conditions. In Istanbul, AKOM reports that the rainy period is ending, with temperatures expected to rise toward seasonal norms throughout the week. Istanbul Governor Davut Gül confirmed that schools will remain open on Monday, October 19, following previous weather-related closures.

Other Turkish provinces are seeing diverse patterns: Muğla is moving toward sunny skies with temperatures reaching 26 degrees, while Aydın expects a warming trend. Conversely, high-altitude areas in Bolu, Bursa, and Kastamonu have seen early seasonal snowfall. In Northern Cyprus, temperatures are expected to remain 3 to 5 degrees below seasonal norms under clear skies.

In the Netherlands, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy and sunny early in the week, but meteorologists warn that rain and wind will increase starting Wednesday, potentially lasting through the middle of next week.
