Karim Zito dismisses revenge narrative ahead of AshantiGold 04 vs Asante Kotoko

FC AshantiGold 04 head coach Karim Zito has rejected suggestions that he is seeking revenge against his former club, Asante Kotoko, ahead of their upcoming Ghana Premier League match. The encounter will take place at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium during matchday eight of the season.

Zito, who managed Asante Kotoko last season before parting ways following a series of disappointing results, emphasized a professional approach to the fixture. He stated, “I am not going to seek revenge against Kotoko. It is a game, and just as I want to win, they also want to beat us.”

Currently, Asante Kotoko sits eighth in the league standings with 11 points, while AshantiGold 04 holds tenth place with 10 points. Zito, who helped AshantiGold 04 secure promotion to the top flight, noted that his team's strategy will remain consistent with their previous performances as they compete for league points.
