LEGO Group launches Pokémon SMART Play sets with Terry Crews and Finn Wolfhard

The LEGO Group introduced the LEGO Pokémon SMART Play line on August 1, a range of twelve building sets that let children interact with LEGO‑built Pokémon using light, sound, motion and sensing technology, without screens. To promote the launch, actors Terry Crews and Finn Wolfhard appeared in a short video as LEGO Pokémon Trainers, each selecting a LEGO‑built Pokémon—Crews chose Jigglypuff and Wolfhard chose Charizard—and sparring in a staged battle.

The promotional campaign ties into the Pokémon XP event and the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco, with demo stations at select LEGO stores and online previews. The sets are sold through LEGO.com, LEGO retail locations and authorized retailers in launch markets.
