LEGO PlayStation 1 set rumored for October 2026 release

Rumors and leaks suggest LEGO is planning a brick-built replica of the original PlayStation console, expected to release in October 2026. The set, identified by number 72306, is rumored to feature approximately 1,911 pieces and a price point of $159.99/€159.99.

The model is expected to be near a 1:1 scale, measuring roughly 26cm wide and 17cm tall. It will reportedly include a wired controller modeled after the original gamepad, which lacks analog thumbsticks.

Design details indicate the console's sides may pull apart to reveal small dioramas inspired by classic titles Gran Turismo and Ape Escape. While some reports suggested a promotional Astro Bot set might accompany the release, newer information indicates Astro Bot may instead be released as a standalone playset.
