Mattel expands automotive toy lines with Formula 1 and brick models
Mattel is expanding its product lines through new collections focused on automotive enthusiasts. The company recently launched a Hot Wheels Formula 1 miniature collection for the 2025 season during an event in Mexico City. The line features 20 drivers and 10 team models in 1:64 scale, including new Ferrari and Aston Martin models. The collection will be available in various formats, including single units, premium metal models, and multi-model packs, with releases scheduled through early 2026.
Additionally, Mattel is entering the automotive construction brick market with the launch of Mattel Brick Shop™. The brand is set to debut at the Paris Motor Show in October 2026, showcasing six licensed models inspired by motorsport legends. These include a 1:12 scale Lamborghini Miura P400 SV, several 1:16 scale models such as the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and Audi Sport quattro, and 1:32 scale models like the Chevrolet Corvette C8. The new line aims to target collectors with high-detail features such as functional steering and opening doors.
