MLB announces 2026 Gold Glove Award winners
Major League Baseball has announced the 2026 Gold Glove Award winners, recognizing the season's premier defensive performers across both the American and National Leagues.
In the National League, notable winners include catcher Gabriel Moreno of the Arizona Diamondbacks, who earned his second award, and first-time winners Corbin Carroll, Geraldo Perdomo, and Pete Crow-Armstrong. First baseman Matt Olson of the Atlanta Braves and Alex Bregman of the Chicago Cubs also secured the honor. Utility player Mauricio Dubón of the Atlanta Braves won his third career Gold Glove, making him the first player to win the award in both leagues.
In the American League, Wilyer Abreu of the Boston Red Sox earned his third consecutive award. Other winners include Caleb Durbin, Ceddanne Rafaela, and Jackson Chourio. The awards were determined through a combination of manager and coach voting and the SABR Defensive Index. Several players, including Christian Walker, Matt Olson, and Wilyer Abreu, reached significant career milestones with their respective wins.
