Olivia Rodrigo launches worldwide LEGO vinyl treasure hunt
The LEGO Group and pop star Olivia Rodrigo have partnered on a LEGO Editions collection of five buildable sets that will debut on August 1. To promote the line, the duo staged an immersive pop‑up at Los Angeles’ iconic Licorice Pizza record store, creating a 2.42‑metre‑high brick‑built “Concert Moon” using more than 77,000 bricks.
During the event, Rodrigo announced a global treasure hunt: 333 limited‑edition LEGO‑brick vinyl records, each hidden in independent record stores across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and other markets. Fans will receive clues via the LEGO and Rodrigo social‑media channels and can track down the hidden collectibles using the hashtag #AStoryInEveryPiece. The hunt coincides with the upcoming Daisy Chain Fields female‑focused music festival planned for Orange County.
Rodrigo expressed excitement, saying the experience “felt different” and that “watching everyone explore the LEGO Editions sets today and discover their favourite details was amazing.” The campaign aims to blend tactile creativity with music fandom on a worldwide scale.
