Global crime reports: Brooklyn Bridge shooting and Polish police incidents

A series of criminal incidents and traffic violations have been reported across Poland and New York. In New York, police shot and killed a man on the Brooklyn Bridge after he ignored commands to drop a knife and allegedly threatened officers with a bomb.

In Poland, multiple road-related crimes occurred, including a 43-year-old driver in Augustów fleeing police while intoxicated without a license, and a 36-year-old mother in Morąg caught driving a Ford with over 2 per mille alcohol while her 5-year-old child sat unrestrained in the front seat. Other incidents involved a 19-year-old crashing an Audi into a building in Kościerzyna, a 50-year-old attempting to bribe police while driving a tractor under the influence, and a 31-year-old Ukrainian national with a lifetime driving ban crashing a Porsche in Włodawa.

Additional criminal activities include a 27-year-old in Gdańsk arrested for possessing nearly 7 kg of narcotics, a 54-year-old in Gostyn in convicted for stealing potted plants, and a 24-year-old in Nowy Tomyśl who defrauded a store of 15,000 PLN by manipulating a deposit return system. Other reports include an arson attack in the Lublin region, a knife attack on police in Radziejów, and a robbery in Ostrowiec Mazowiecka involving gas and acid.
