Raia Drogasil posts 10% sales rise in first half 2026

Brazil's pharmacy chain Raia Drogasil, operating under the RD Saúde brand, announced first‑half 2026 revenue of R$ 24.757 billion (about US$ 4.712 billion), a 10.1% increase over the same period a year earlier. The group now runs 3,687 stores nationwide, having opened 76 new locations and closed three between April and June. Its market share grew to 19.7% nationally, up 0.7 percentage points.

Digital sales accelerated sharply, climbing 52.2% year‑on‑year to R$ 3.938 billion, representing roughly one‑third of total revenue. Adjusted EBITDA reached R$ 1 billion with an 8% margin, and the company generated R$ 550 million in free cash flow while cutting net debt by 25% to R$ 3 billion, lowering leverage to 0.8× EBITDA. Analysts were split: Safra highlighted the strong cash generation and maintained a buy recommendation, whereas Citi noted the results were in line with expectations and expressed caution about future margin expansion.
