Rilakkuma and Sumikkogurashi to launch Korea-exclusive collection

San-X is launching its first exclusive merchandise collection for the South Korean market, featuring the characters Rilakkuma and Sumikkogurashi. The limited-edition line is inspired by traditional Korean culture, incorporating vibrant color palettes and motifs from traditional Korean apparel, such as Hanbok.

The collection includes various items, such as Rilakkuma plushies with traditional decoration-inspired charms and Sumikkogurashi plushies featuring intricate patterns and specialized hat designs. The lineup also extends to stationery and daily lifestyle goods.

The merchandise is scheduled for release on September 22, 2026, at two official retail locations in Seoul: the Rilakkuma Sumikkogurashi PLUS by San-X in Hongdae (located in AK Plaza) and a second location in Jamsil at the Lotte Department Store. Due to expected high demand, inventory is strictly limited, and stores may implement crowd control measures, such as distributing numbered ticketing tokens.
