San-X is expanding its Rilakkuma and Sumikkogurashi retail presence through new collections and store relaunches in Asia.

In South Korea, San-X is launching a Korea-exclusive merchandise collection inspired by traditional culture, such as Hanbok. The limited-edition line, featuring plushies and lifestyle goods, is scheduled for release on September 22, 2026, at retail locations in Hongdae and Jamsil, Seoul.

In Japan, Kiddyland and San-X will relaunch the Rilakkuma Store and Sumikko Gurashi Shop as a combined entity at Tokyo Station Ichibangai on October 20, 2026. The reopening will feature promotional charms and new plushies commemorating the characters' roles as Chiyoda City Tourism Ambassadors.
