Italian culinary guides recognize excellence in Calabria and Marche

Various Italian culinary and viticultural guides have released new rankings, highlighting excellence in specific regions.

The Falstaff Restaurant Guide Italia 2027 recognized several establishments in Calabria, including BOB Alchimia a Spicchi di Montepaone, which was named the best pizzeria in Italy. Other regional winners include Qafiz in Santa Cristina d’Aspromonte and Il Tipico Calabrese in Cardeto.

In the Marche region, the town of Ripatransone achieved significant success in the Gambero Rosso Guida Vini d’Italia 2027. Four local wineries—Tenuta Santori, Numa, Cantina dei Colli Ripani, and Le Caniette—received the prestigious ‘Tre Bicchieri’ award, representing a major recovery for the local agricultural sector following recent weather damage.

Additionally, Gambero Rosso released a list of the best bars in Calabria. The province of Reggio Calabria saw the highest number of recognized venues, with nine establishments receiving awards, while no locations achieved the maximum ‘Tre Tazzine’ rating.
