Major infrastructure projects across Romania's motorway network are reaching critical milestones. On the A1 motorway, the Margina-Holdea section has achieved a significant breakthrough with the completion of excavation for the country's longest highway tunnels. These tunnels, featuring galleries of 1,985 and 1,825 meters, are part of a project aimed at ensuring continuous high-speed travel between Boița and Nădlac, with full completion expected by mid-2027.

On the A3 Transylvania Motorway, the Suplacu de Barcău-Chiribiș section is nearing completion, with experts from Pro Infrastructură estimating an opening in November. While asphalt has been laid across most of the 26.35-kilometer stretch, some work remains near the Suplacu de Barcău viaduct. Additionally, the section between Zimbor and Nădășelu is expected to be ready for traffic by December, following significant progress by contractors UMB and Ozaltin.

In the Sibiu-Pitești motorway project, Section 4 between Tigveni and Curtea de Argeș has reached 99% physical completion. Current efforts are focused on safety system testing within the 1,350-meter Momaia tunnel, with the section potentially opening in 2026, ahead of the February 2027 contractual deadline.
