The A7 Motorway, described by former minister Cristian Ghinea as the “largest single project funded through EU National Recovery and Resilience Plans (PNRR)”, has reached approximately 241.62 km of operational road. Following the opening of the Adjud-Bacău sector, the Bacău Nord road junction and the 16-kilometer Bacău Bypass have reopened, allowing travel from Bucharest to Bacău Nord in under three hours. While the Bacău-Pașcani section missed the PNRR deadline, work is expected to continue through 2026.

Meanwhile, the Sibiu-Pitești Motorway has reached a milestone with the Momaia Tunnel entering a critical testing phase for safety, ventilation, and traffic management systems. To support this connectivity, the government approved a 770 million lei investment to modernize DN 73C, linking Râmnicu Vâlcea to the Sibiu-Pitești Motorway.
