San-X announces character pop-up shops and campaigns

San-X is launching several promotional events and pop-up shops featuring its character brands.

In Sapporo, the ‘San-X Universe POP-UP SHOP’ will open at Daimaru Fujii Central starting September 4, 2026. The event features characters such as Rilakkuma, Sumikko Gurashi, and Tarepanda. Customers spending over 2,200 yen can receive a marker charm, while purchases exceeding 5,500 yen include an additional shopper and novelty items.

Additionally, San-X is holding a campaign to celebrate the release of the new Sentimental Circus theme, ‘Tonight, at the Black and White Little Bear Constellation Tea Salon’. Campaigns will take place at various locations including Yamashiroya in Ueno, Animate Ikebukuro, and Daimaru Fujii Central starting September 5, 2026. Rilakkuma Stores in locations such as Harajuku, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka will join the campaign starting September 19, 2026, offering unique novelties and specially decorated store sections.
