Japanese food retailers launch autumn menus and character collaborations
Various Japanese food service providers are launching seasonal menus and promotional collaborations for the autumn season.
Matsuya and Matsunoya are partnering with San-X to host a ‘Sumikko Gurashi’ collaboration starting October 6. Customers ordering specific children's meals can receive limited-edition reflector keychains, with a second phase of the campaign planned for mid-November.
In the ramen sector, Ramen Yamaokaya will re-release its ‘Rich White Miso Tonkotsu Ramen’ on October 1. TOCOTON1 in Hiroshima is introducing a ‘Mala Miso Tonkotsu Ramen’ featuring Shimane-grown Ishimi pork, while Menya Shirahige in Tokyo is launching a ‘Yaki Miso Ramen’—a stir-fried noodle dish using Hokkaido miso.
Additionally, the tonjiru specialty shop Gochiton is introducing an autumn menu featuring sweet potato and pumpkin miso potage, alongside seasonal rice balls.
