ZinVolt Core Home Battery System Launches in Netherlands Ahead of Net‑Metering Phase‑out
ZinVolt introduced the Core modular home‑battery system in the Netherlands as the country's net‑metering (salderingsregeling) scheme ends on 1 January 2027. The Core combines an inverter, lithium‑iron‑phosphate battery and smart energy management in a compact unit, starting at 4 kWh and expandable in 4 kWh increments to 8, 12 or 16 kWh via ZinVolt Link modules, with a maximum of 48 kWh across three linked systems.
The system is professionally installed, offers 3 680 W of charge‑discharge power, and provides automatic backup power within 10 ms of an outage. A P1‑dongle links the unit to the smart meter, while the ZinVolt app displays real‑time consumption, storage levels and tariff‑optimized charging. By storing daytime solar surplus for evening use, homeowners can reduce reliance on the grid and mitigate the financial impact of the upcoming policy change.
