A week later, Nankai Electric Railway announced a temporary tourist‑train service called “Tenkū” scheduled for 12 August in Wakayama Prefecture. The four‑trip operation connected Hashimoto, Koyasan and Gokurakubashi, carrying up to 60 passengers per run. Reservations were required via the company’s website, and tickets were priced at ¥2,000 for one route and ¥3,000 for the others, including a water bottle and souvenir. The service operated regardless of weather and did not offer a cancellation wait‑list.

Both initiatives reflect a broader effort in 2026 to promote localized cultural experiences—through performing arts in Kobe and railway‑based tourism in Wakayama—by offering limited‑time programs that blend traditional heritage with modern ticketing platforms.
