US bourbon releases 2026

In late July 2026 two major U.S. bourbon brands announced new core expressions. Bulleit Frontier Whiskey introduced Bulleit ’87, a bourbon‑rye blend aged at least four years and finished with toasted American and French oak staves. The 90‑proof spirit will be sold nationally from September and is supported by a tasting tour visiting 15 cities across the United States.

A few days later Old Forester released a new offering in its 117 Series—a 7‑year‑old bourbon that undergoes a triple‑char barrel treatment, delivering intensified oak, spice and fruit notes. The brand highlighted the use of whiskey distilled solely at its historic Louisville micro‑distillery and is selling the $64.99 product directly from the distillery and select Kentucky retailers.

Both launches illustrate ongoing experimentation and limited‑edition marketing within the American bourbon industry, with brands emphasizing novel barrel techniques and regional promotion to attract consumers.
