Spanish summer festivals 2026

In late July 2026, municipalities across Spain began rolling out their summer festival programmes. In Navarre, towns such as Arguedas, Bera, Estella, and Etxarri‑Aranatz announced a series of concerts, traditional dances, children’s activities and evening DJ sessions. The town of Altsasu allocated €144,147 for more than 70 events over five days, with roughly half of the budget earmarked for musical performances and the remainder for sound, lighting, animation and production.

A day later, the coastal town of Salou opened its own summer celebration, the Nits Daurades 2026, with an opening ceremony featuring the traditional pregó delivered by the Catalan tourism director. Mayor Pere Granados highlighted the festival’s role in fostering community and promoting a sustainable tourism model. The event, staged in the gardens of the Xalet Torremar, is scheduled to run daily until 15 August, showcasing the town’s beaches, heritage, gastronomy and hospitality to thousands of residents and visitors.

Together, these announcements illustrate a coordinated push by Spanish local authorities to boost cultural activity and tourism through extensive, well‑funded summer festivals.
