Cultural and gastronomic festivals in Spain

Cultural and gastronomic festivals continue across various regions in Spain.

In Catalonia, late August events include the Escala Music Festival in Sant Martí d’Empúries, the conclusion of F’estiu in Calonge, and the Vespreig festival in Setcases. Other activities in the region involve the Industrial Market in Pals, the Ésdansa Festival de les Preses, Nits de Circ in Roses, and various local patron saint festivals. The 32nd Costa Brava Jazz Festival in Palafrugell is scheduled for October 7–11, with ticket sales for major concerts at the Municipal Theater already underway.

In Andalusia, the eighteenth Seafood and Ham Fair is being hosted in Ayamonte from August 26 to 28. In San Fernando, the eleventh edition of La Isla Ciudad Flamenca is in its final week, with performances continuing through August 31. In Jabugo, the second edition of Jamón Fest is set for August 28 at the Recinto Ferial, combining music from artists such as Fuego, Doctor Bellido, and Charly Rodríguez with tourism and gastronomy. Local officials, including Mayor Gilberto Domínguez and Huelva Provincial Council Vice President Rocío Moreno, noted the event’s role in celebrating the local ham industry and boosting tourism.

Other scheduled events include the XXIII Festa do Pemento de Mougán in Guntín on August 29–30, featuring free tastings of pepper products. In Madrid, the seventh edition of the MAZO cycle is ongoing, featuring approximately one hundred concerts between July and March.
