Authorities in Brazil have arrested suspects following violent incidents involving women in the states of Pará and Mato Grosso.

In Novo Progresso, Pará, police arrested Josimar de Sousa for an attempted murder in the Santa Luzia neighborhood after he allegedly struck a woman with stones. In Pedra Preta, Mato Grosso, a man was apprehended by Military Police after breaking into a residence and sexually assaulting a 28-year-old woman.
