In late August, a 10-year-old boy died following a collision between a motorcycle and a truck on a provincial road near Bergamo. The child’s father was also hospitalized in serious condition. By late September, additional incidents were reported. In Genoa, a 42-year-old man died after losing control of a scooter in an underpass. In the Bergamo area, two more motorcyclists were hospitalized following collisions with other vehicles in Pontida and Via Zanica. The incident in Via Zanica occurred near the location of the previous fatal accident involving the child.
