Walt Disney World Railroad refurbishment extended

Overview

The Walt Disney World Railroad at Magic Kingdom is undergoing a refurbishment that has extended beyond its initial timeline. Originally scheduled to close on September 28 with a planned reopening on October 30, the Walt Disney World Resort website now indicates the steam train is “expected to reopen November 2026.”

In addition to the service suspension, the Main Street, U.S.A. station has been significantly impacted. The Frontierland Station is expected to remain closed until broader Magic Kingdom Park expansions are finalized.
