Criminal investigations in Argentina

Overview

Police in Argentina are investigating separate criminal incidents in Choya and Posadas. In Ancaján, Choya, authorities are looking into the theft of two million pesos from the home of 29-year-old Ana Magalí Sueldo. Because there were no signs of forced entry, investigators suspect three individuals close to the victim who had keys to the residence.

In Posadas, Misiones, a 29-year-old man, Félix Ramón M., has been detained following the death of 41-year-old Analía Itatí Quiroz. The incident occurred after Quiroz alerted her family that someone was attempting to force her door. While no physical damage to the home was found, Quiroz suffered respiratory distress and passed away shortly after. A 37-year-old woman was also detained for allegedly attempting to obstruct the investigation. An autopsy is pending.
