Road accidents in France

Overview

In September 2026, multiple road accidents were reported across different departments in France. In the Eure department, a three-car collision near Gaillon resulted in four injuries, with three individuals requiring hospitalization. Separately, in the Gard department, a heavy goods vehicle veered off the A9 motorway near Marguerittes, causing debris and subsequent collisions, though no injuries were reported.

By early October, further traffic incidents occurred in various regions. A head-on collision in Ille-et-Vilaine left a woman seriously injured, while a high-speed collision between a car and a motorcycle in Loire-Atlantique left a motorcyclist in critical condition. Additionally, in Morbihan, a driver struck a cyclist, resulting in the cyclist being evacuated to a hospital.
